Sights and landmarks

While food lovers will find delight in Yonne’s fine cuisine, the region offers much more than just gastronomy and great wine.
It is a true treasure trove of history, dotted with remarkable monuments, some majestic, some unusual, and some entirely unique.
From Tonnerre, where the striking Fosse Dionne draws every gaze, to the mysterious Château de Maulnes with its rare pentagonal design, each village has its own charm, its own story, its own identity.

Many have preserved their old washhouses — living witnesses to a bygone way of life.
Some, like Gigny, surprise visitors with unique curiosities, such as its twisted bell tower — the only one of its kind in Yonne.
Others transport you to another era, with cobbled streets seemingly frozen in time, steeped in memory.

Let yourself be carried away by these places, explore their heritage, and listen to the stories and legends that bring our beautiful region to life.
